Unas History/Myth ~ ANCIENT EGYPT ~ Unas (reign 2375 to 2345 BC) was the last Pharaoh of the Fifth Dynasty during the Old Kingdom. He built the town named after him in Middle Egypt and is burred an immense tomb at Saqqara. The Greeks called him "Onnos." He was also worshiped as a god, in which he ruled from a "Lake of Fire" and was referred to as "Unas, Slayer and Eater of the Gods." The Show (Stargåte SG-1) ~ It the name of the legendary first Jaffa, or the first Goa’uld host. It is not very clear which is correct. Either way, it is one scary alien. He is said to have great regenerative abilities and may have been in the Labyrinth for 1000 years. Jack and Teal’c encounter it on Cimmeria in Thor’s Labyrinth (Hall of Mjollinir), which was designed to protect the Cimmerians from the Goa’uld (109 – Thor’s Hammer). On an unnamed planet, SG-1 encounters a village inhabited by people from Medieval England. An Unas, who visits the village under the guise of a demon/Satan, is terrorizing the village. He is in the service of Sokar, taking the human sacrifices to be used for host bodies (308 – Demons).
